Yep... Of course I do the same thing with all my files, only 2 locations for most things though.

.... That's why I keep 3 backups of files at seperate physical locations.
Not that I expect Aurora to mess anything up, because I think that the computer might crash, thumb-drive lost, or I just mess up a large section.

Well, I am using 1.0.29, but the lights would play just as they were shown on the sequencer. I will try to update to 1.0.32, hope to God that it fixes it. I spent a very long time on this show, and it needs to be completed this week. I started programming on verion 1, then upgraded as the new versions came out. The only time I used the bulk channel editor was with version 1.0.29. I will try it again tonight.

What version of Aurora is this?
1.0.25 and 1.0.29 had some glitches where data wasn't being displayed properly due to a bad index pointer but would playback to the lights just fine because the correct data really was there all along. If you are lucky and this is the case, then updating to 1.0.32 might be all you need to do to make things reappear.
1.0 and 1.0.2 had some bad issues with the bulk channel editor. If you were using one of thise versions then you very well could have created a serious mess. Edited by LightsOnLogan - 24 Nov 2008 at 9:10am |

Ok, I am hoping there is an easy fix for this. I did all of the programming in my apartment. I have two controllers, 15 rows of lights, and 3 channels for flood lights. When programming, I had all 15 rows on one controller, and the three flood channels on the second controller. I went to my parents place this past weekend to set everything up for our wine festival this coming saturday. The vineyard is set up to have 7 rows on one controller, the floods on that same controller, and 8 rows on the other controller. I went into each song, clicked on the bulk channel editer, and changed the unit ID and channel numbers so they match the vineyard layout. Of course, I saved after each song, and didnt create a back up files, because I am an idiot. For reasons unknown to me, every song got screwed up. There are parts of every song, in the sequencer, where the first 7 channels got copied to channels 8-14, but not everywhere. Sometimes it got screwed up, sometimes it was fine. If there is no fix for this, I will have to go back through my entire show, before saturday, and reprogram channels 8-14. Also, there are parts where a channel has something on it, but it doesnt line up with the breaks that you put onto the sequencer, they are just kind of floating there. Please, before I crush my controllers out of frustration, help me.
