I have used Aurora in both VMware Workstation and VirtualBox.  Both worked, but I had a small issue with VirtualBox - when playing the sequence, it would consume 100% of the CPU and you could not stop playing until it reached the end.  VMWare worked just fine for me.

Hyper-V?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. If it's not Hyper-V, then because of the HAL there might be some oddities showing up.
Fine. You're so smart you rig up the lights.
