You can do what you want but you must asign the channels (including the RGB ones) manually using "Add Channel" not "Add Controller".  For example (assuming none of the channels have yet been created):

Add channel, select  "D-Light RGB", assign the device and channels for 1,2,3
Add channel, select  "D-Light RGB", assign the device and channels for 4,5,6
Add channel, select  "D-Light RGB", assign the device and channels for 7,8,9
Add channel, select  "D-Light RGB", assign the device and channels for 10,11,12
Add channel, select  "D-Light DCx16", assign the device and channel 13
Ignore the message (that is a bug - the RGB channels will not be reassigned)
You now have both created on the same controller

Given:
Have a DCx16 controller, four 3 channel LED wash units (RGB) which will utuilize channels 1 through 12.
Question:
Have 4 remaining channels but would like to use these to control individual elements (LED twig trees)and not use in RGB mode. Is it possible?

Once the controller is designated as a RGB controller it appears as if this will apply to all channels of that controller.  Guess 3 of the remaining channels could be controlled by using the channel color (RGB) but then there's that 16th channel that stands alone and appears to become useless. Guess the other possible solution is not use the RGB mode and do the RGB color washing the hard way by manually doing each color on each channel (1-12) and the remaing 4 would be 'normal' channels for controlling elements.

Would be nice if one could designate channels on a controller for RGB mode by multiples of 3 perhaps rather than all or nothing. (i.e 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12) thus enabling the use of the remaing channels for non RGB use.

Hope this makes sense
