Any manufacturer's you can recommend for non-sensitive GFI's? Wow, that sounds wrong.
Switching out the GFI receptacle would be an easy fix. The GFI's tripping are powering mini's on bushes; kind of tough to keep those elevated. I do try to keep all the connection points elevated.
Tks!

Oh come on....easiest way to not trip a GFCI is to not use them....
It's just a little tingle now and than. Edited by ChrisL1976 - 04 Dec 2011 at 11:43pm |

The easiest way to avoid GFCI trips is to not let any of the lights touch the ground. This is impossible if you have a yard grid, but for a mega tree build a skirt ring at least a foot off the ground (giving yourself room for connection hang-down). For mini trees, just don't wrap below the 6 inch point.
As Jonathan noted, some GFCIs are a bit more trip happy than others. Michael Edited by LightsOnLogan - 04 Dec 2011 at 8:23pm |

You're welcome. Chances are that if something breaks, it's already happened to my show first!
As for GFCI's, that one is easy. You simply run extension cords to known good outlets that don't trip after one drop of rain. I've already got my spare power cords plugged in and rolled up, ready to go if the new GFCI outlets we just installed this year (to replace the flaky GFCI's that tripped after one drop of rain) are still just as sensitive. |

Jonathon thank you!!! OMG, thank you!! It took "me" all day long to work through this. I won't bore everyone with the details. Only to once again express my thanks to the wonderful, outstanding service on this forum. Since obviously the posters on this forum can solve any problem quickly; who's got a direct line to Mother Nature and ask her to stop the rain that is tripping GFI's, well just one so far. Thanks Jonathon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will want to upgrade to Aurora v1.0.90, which is the current official version. Borealis has been updated with some new features (like seamless mode) as well as introducing D2XX, which also supports DMX networks.
You can download the zip file onto a flash drive, and move it to the other system for installation. I don't recall if you need your key again, but you might want to make sure you have it handy just in case Aurora asks for it again. |

Having problems when the sequences run through the show for the second time. The first time through my 9 sequences, they run well. The second time most of the sequences run fine however towards around the last couple sequences a whole lot of events get dropped and mostly dark show. I tried running the show with 3 sequences, and again the second time through, the last sequence only plays a small portion of the events.
I ran a 3 sequence show at Halloween without any problems. I'm using version 1.069 All the sequences were done on the same laptop that I run the show on. All the sequences run find within Aurora on the preview screen within the sequencer.
The laptop that I run the show on doesn't have an internet connection so I can't download a new version. Can I download Aurora to a flash drive? So I can then reload it into my show laptop.
I tried downloading version 1.069 onto another desktop. When I put the sequences into the scheduler, the scheduler can't find them?
Back to the show laptop, I've had the black screen problem, but that wasn't an issue running the Halloween show. I use the task manager to close the program when needed.
Any other ideas?
TIA!!!
Joe
