He's using WalMart RED lights that have faded.

Purple???????? Those are Blue LED's
Camera does give them a purple tint to them. The only purplish lights in the display are the PINK LED cancer ribbon the tree which is kind of hard to see in this picture. Edited by ChrisL1976 - 16 Dec 2009 at 10:50am |

I'd love to find some good UV LED lights. My incandescant ones almost looked like they "sucked" the light away. Great effect.
