Scheduler playback mode only plays one song

I created aplaylist using the built in tool.  

I thne proceed to let the scheduler run. IT proceeded to play fine but only played one song over and over.

I subsequently tried to use the built in tool to generate a playlist again and observed the same behavior but with a different song.

The playlist looks like it is valid XML...

I am about to try manual creation of a playlist. I will report back with the results.

Update:  Sure enough a playlist created with windows media player works as expected.
