I was testing out one of my LOR PC controllers last night and noticed that when I test my show, it will randomly disconnect the controller in the middle of the show.

When I say it disconnects, I mean that the red led begins to flash durring the show.  It will start off fine, and then start flashing.  I havent tested it with other sequences yet, but I'd say its an issue if it even does it on one sequence.

I'm running version 4.3 on the LOR board, and 1.69 of Aurora.  Its an amd single core pc with 1gb of ram... running windows 7.

Also, what baud rate should I be using for this? 56k?

Thoughts?

To answer the baud question: 56000 is the "official" spec, however both LOR and D-Light are designing their controllers to handle 115,200 these days.

Now for the more difficult one, the controller that is losing heartbeat:

1) Is this happening with Aurora or Borealis?

2) Can you test by isolating to just one controller on a short Cat-5 cable just to make sure there isn't a cable issue?

I'll test it this evening, but I know the cable is good.  Also, it's only one controller I'm testing.

The problem occurs in Aurora, I have not checked Borealis.  I'll do that this evening

Problem solved.  I had the usb adapter connected to my monitors usb port.  I plugged it right into the pc and it works fine now.  Sorry!
